Networking with a Twist: Nae The Goat's Recap of Network and Chill
Have you ever been to a networking birthday party? Black entrepreneurs gathered April 22 to celebrate the founder of Anew Me Entertainment Group, straight from Hollywood, DJ NewMe! All sponsors and vendors have been working to bring their products and services to the Atlanta scene and were able to promote at this special event.
The hall was lavishly decorated in white, and everyone dressed in their best cocktail attire. We can dress, okay! A red carpet was placed for I and comedian Ty Dixon to conduct our interviews and let these business owners represent themselves. We spoke with the founder of Georgia Peach Catering, Sebrina Chism, who made the full menu of southern cuisine with a Caribbean twist.
What’s a party without an open bar? The drinks were sponsored by Ou Oui Premium Liquor where they served their best-selling cocktail mix at the bar and by the bottle. This spiced rum is only available in select stores and is leaving the shelves quickly! Bombade Lemonade Vodka also took a minute to promote!
My personal favorite sponsors were two Black women who founded Hustle 2 Business LLC. They pride themselves on educating and supporting young professionals looking to kickstart their journey as entrepreneurs. Everyone who attended that night had some affiliation with DJ NewMe and were able to meet with even more like-minded individuals!
Walking in to Cha’le Gardens in Riverdale, I didn’t know what to expect. It wasn’t the typical Rap Hippies scene, but we know how to network so it was a great opportunity! DJ NewMe is constantly finding ways to bridge the gap and create a community of Black professionals all while having a stellar time. It was a great night filled with networking, dancing, and entertainment including Ty Dixson and magician, Michael Boone. I’ve never been to a birthday party quite like this, but Atlanta needs more of it!
